A joint venture between ReQuest and the renowned Gainesville Health & Fitness Centers, the program features a team of specially trained multidisciplinary health professionals. Working together with cancer patients and their families, our team offers:
Therapeutic exercise & self-care programs – Designed to address cancer-related fatigue, malaise or weakness by stimulating metabolic changes. This program also includes exercise and nutrition counseling as needed.
Physical therapy treatment – Includes hands-on treatment for tissue fibrosis to improve mobility and range of motion, treatment for incontinence in females and males and massage therapy to reduce musculoskeletal pain (joints and muscles). Nationally certified lymphedema treatment center – certified lymphedema treatment specialists address the cause and symptoms of a compromised (often by radiation therapy) lymphatic system using special drainage and therapeutic massage techniques.
Massage therapy – Reduces musculoskeletal-related (in bones, joints and muscles) pain with proven therapeutic massage techniques.
Incontinence treatment – Effective therapy for male and female incontinence.
